Announcing: You Cannot Grasp the River

I am pleased to announce my debut as a fiction author. This suspense/thriller explores the South Pacific remote language groups and spotlights the ways our experiences, beliefs, and values paint the understanding of the world around us.

I learned that everyone likes stories. While teaching the concepts of worldview internationally, my students remembered principles better from true stories. I was pleased with the engagement of students and the kernel of an idea that occurred to me; why not transfer these stories to fiction writing? After a number of years, it came together.

I contracted with an agent, Dave Fessenden, representing Wordwise Media. Eventually landing a contract with Elk Lake Publishing Company (ELP). My thanks to the Editor and Chief, Deb Haggerty, who saw merit in my writing, and the encouraging staff and editors with ELP who helped me birth this book.
